A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League recently held their 12th Annual National Conference, SHINE 2024, at the Cameo Shooting & Education Complex in Grand Junction Colorado. SHINE 2024 hosted nearly 1,000 members, sponsors and friends from across the country. In attendance were two members of the Walther Defense Division, Tatiana Whitlock and Nick Young   as well as Walther Performance Division member Gabby Franco. This event included Live-Fire Education, Non-Fire Workshops AND some time for members to reconnect and enjoy their time with like-minded individuals.

A Girl and A Gun boasts 135 Chapters across 45 states. At SHINE 2024, these members underwent a rigorous “Gear Check” wherein 976 handguns were reviewed and function-checked. Among these was the Walther PDP F-Series which secured 17.23% share which solidified its title the as the preferred firearm for diverse training needs.

Depending on the topic of their training courses, e.g., concealed carry vs. 3-gun, women would bring different models that were most appropriate to the skills learned. Some pistols were very topic-specific, and some were used for general skill builder sessions with training that can be applied to both defense and competition.
