Walther Arms was proudly represented by three members of the Walther Performance Division at the 2026 Factory Gun Nationals in Hurricane, Utah, with Jay Beal, Buck Lawler and Kenny Florian taking on one of the premier matches of the competitive shooting season.
Jay Beal
Jay once again led the way for Walther, finishing eighth and turning in another strong performance on the national stage. He has consistently proven himself to be an exceptionally talented competitor, and his performance in Utah was another example of the skill, preparation and consistency he brings to every match.
Buck Lawler
Buck brings a different approach to competition. He competes entirely from an AIWB concealed carry setup, testing his skills with equipment and techniques rooted in practical carry. Competing at the national level from concealment presents its own challenges, and Buck continues to show how capable that setup can be in the hands of an experienced shooter.
Kenny Florian
A familiar name well beyond the shooting community, Florian built a successful career in mixed martial arts as a longtime UFC competitor and later became a respected broadcaster and analyst. Today he brings that same competitive mindset and dedication to improvement into the shooting sports as a member of the Walther Performance Division.
Between the stages
While their performances on the range were impressive, some of the best moments of the weekend happened between stages.
Throughout the match, Jay, Buck and Kenny could regularly be found talking with other competitors, helping newer shooters, discussing stage plans and sharing strategies and experience. That willingness to contribute to the shooting community is every bit as important to Walther as what happens after the timer goes off.
The Walther Performance Division was built around more than simply finding talented shooters. We want competitors who represent the values of the brand, help grow the sport and make the people around them better.
Jay, Buck and Kenny continue to do exactly that. We are incredibly proud to have all three representing Walther, and equally proud to see the impact they have on the shooting community both on and off the range.
